Materials:Pig Iron

Featured Product: - Drum Separator reclaimed graphite

Problem:

In production of pig iron, recirculation of costly graphite, used to keep pigs from sticking to molds, is essential to economical operation. But graphite slurry becomes contaminated with iron spatters.

Solution:

To cleanse the slurry of iron spatters and protect equipment, Quebec Iron and Titanium, of Sorel, Quebec, Canada, channels the mixture over an Eriez Magnetic Drum Separator. Graphite falls freely from the shell while iron spatters are carried beyond a divider and outside the magnetic field.
