Problem:
In 1942, Aaron's Feed Mill in Sharon, PA, USA sought a better way to protect its equipment from tramp iron in feed grains.
Solution:
The solution was one of the first
Plate Magnet Separators ever produced by Eriez Magnetics. That Plate Magnet was installed in a chute and used until 1961 when more powerful magnets (pictured here) became available from Eriez. When retired, the magnet was still as strong as it was when it was first installed.
